I have a confession to make! These classic burgers made with mashed potatoes and Indian spices tastes just like the ones you get at Mc Donald’s. The aloo tikki is so moist and flavorful with Indian flavors. Mayonnaise mixed with ketchup makes these burgers yummmmm If you are someone who is craving the good old McAllo Tikki Burger then you have to make these burgers!!! Try these Indian burgers today, I promise it’s worth it ❤️
Add 1 tbsp oil in a pan.
To the pan add 1/4 cup boiled peas, sauté it for a minute.
Then add potatoes, poha, spice mix and salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
Bring the mixture to room temperature and roll into a cylinder.
Cover the tikki roll with plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
After 2 hours cut the roll into thick slices.
Dip the tikki into cornstarch slurry and then dry bread crumbs. Shallow fry the tikki in oil until golden brown on both sides.
Take mayonnaise in a bowl add tomato ketchup and mix.
Lightly toast the burger buns.
Spread mayo dip, add tikki, onions and tomatoes cover with top bun. Enjoy with fries or chips!
1. Refrigerating aloo tikki mixture is optional. You can directly make flat tikkis and fry them.
2. Shallow fry or bake the aloo tikkis, the choice is yours!
3. In this particular burger I have not added cheese, feel free to add cheese if you like!
