Honey chili potatoes is an Indo Chinese appetizer. Fried potato fingers in sesame honey chili sauce will surely satisfy your craving for some restaurant style Chinese food!
Coat potatoes with 2 tbsp of all purpose flour, 2 tbsp cornstarch and salt.
Fry on medium heat till crispy.
In the same bowl add 2 tbsp all purpose flour, 2 tbsp cornstarch, black pepper, salt and 3-4 tbsp of water. Make a thick slurry.
Dip the fried potatoes in the batter and fry it again on medium heat.
Toast sesame seeds for 15-30 seconds.
Heat oil in a wok, add garlic, sesame seeds and sauté for few seconds.
Next add all the sauces, honey, salt and sauté for few more seconds.
Then add cornstarch slurry, 1/2 cup water and let it boil for a minute.
Lastly add the potatoes mix, sauté for a minute and serve.
1. Frying potatoes twice is optional, but it will give a nice crunch to the potatoes.
