Mumbai’s famous tava pulav is a spicy street style pulav made with long grain rice and Pav bhaji masala! Make this delicious rice in a jiffy, with left over rice, this tava pulav compliments well with Pav bhaji. And Yes! My tava pulav is in a wok. Soak dry red chilies in hot water for 2-3 hours. Add garlic and make a fine paste.
In a pan or a tava, add onions and bell peppers. Sauté for a minute.
Then add the prepared paste, salt, pav bhaji masala and red chili powder. Cook for a minute.
Add potatoes and tomatoes, cook everything for one more minute.
Lastly add cooked rice, roasted cashews and cilantro. Cook for one more minute and serve!
