Bringing today the recipe of very popular Rajasthani delicacy Dal Baati! Spicy dal served with battis made of wheat flour which are crunchy from outside and soft from inside.
Boil split moong dal and chana dal with turmeric powder and salt.
Form a semi soft dough using all the ingredients.
Form into rounds and bake at 350 F for around 20 minutes.
Once done apply ghee over or dip baatis in ghee.
In a pot add ghee, cumin seeds, hing, garlic and onions. Sauté till onions turn soft.
Then add chopped tomatoes, green chilies, ginger and sauté for 2 minutes.
Add all dry spices and water. Cover and cook for 7-8 minutes. Dal is ready!
